Heinz, Joe is reg. Ons kan dit seker 'n moerbei pot noem. Gooi die bestanddele in waarvan jy hou en laat dit simmereer totdat gaar of dan die vleis sag is.

My gunsteling kos is jong skaaprib met bietjie sout oor of as my ma 'wit kos' maak.

Omdat ek nie weet hoe baie jy wil weet van dit gaan ek maar raai oor spesifiek hoe dit werk.
Ek glo dit volg maar n potjie metode, sy maak heel moontlik eers die vleis bruin in olie. Dan sit sy die deksel op en kook dit totdat die vleis sag is. Dan gooi sy aartappels en wortels in en as dit sag is is dit klaar. Daar is n kans dat sy dalk klein bietjie sout en pepper al ingooi wanneer die groente ingaan of die groente ingooi direk na die vleis bruin gekook is maar ek is nie seker. Volgens wat ek dink gaan die groente eers in as die vleis bietjie sagter gekook is en die sout en pepper kom in as dit klaar is.

My Wilds Skenkel of Wilds Nek resep vir die Slowcooker:
1 groot uit gekap in klein stukkies
1.5 kg wilds skenkels of nek en 500 gram skaap stowe vleis
750 ml Hoender aftreksel OF 750 ml donker craft bier soos 'n Irish Red Ale
3 Eetlepels vars gemaalde Koljander
1 Teelepel Wonder peper
1 Teelepel Naeltjies
3 Teelepels Sout
1 Teelepel Witpeper
4 Eetlepels bruin asyn

Voorverhit die Slowcooker. Braai vleis in warm pan tot buitekant bruin is en pak in lae in slowcooker. Verhit die hoender (of bier) aftreksel in 'n pot en gooi die speserye en uie in en laat prut vir so 15 minute. Moet nie koue vloeistof oor warm pangebraaide wildsvleis gooi nie want dit maak hom taai. Gooi vloeistof oor vleis en bedek en kook tot sag (4 ure op High). Die laaste uur sit jou aartappels en wortel stukke wat min of meer selfde grootte gesny is by en bedien saam met Basmatie rys wanneer groente sag is.

Vir ekstra smaak druk ek bietjie suurlemoen sap op die vleis na dit op die bord geskep is. Die volgende dag ontbeen jy die oorskiet (indien daar is) en maak pasteie daarvan.

Ek like die slowcooker kwaai - Meer tyd om my wynversameling te verminder.

Vat n lam se blad (been in).
Smeer met mengsel van olyfolie, Worchester sous en suurlemoensap. (Los vir nag in yskas in braaibak).

Sny n ui of 2 onder in die slowcooker in sodat vleis nie direk aan bodem raak nie.
Volgende oggen, haal blad uit en smeer heel met doree bruin uie sop.
Gooi so 100 ml water in onder op die uie, en die res van die droee sop in die pakkie.
Plaas boud bo op, sit op low en maak gaar vir 8 ure.
Saam met n gebraaide aartappel, en die sous oor n rysie loop hy mooi.
En indien daar oorblei, saam met n soet mostertjie die volgende dag op jou broodjie.
PS, werk vir boud, en ook n heel skaap nek ook.

Heinz, van die ouens dink dis net moerbei en kos vir tandlose bakkie jagters (geen verwysing na oom PW nie!)

'n Brisket ontbeen of Kortrib wat so stadig gekook is met soja, gemmer, knoffel en rissies gaan maak 'n draai op die kole en kom terug dat min manne dit sal weerstaan.
Wildsbene en kookvleis, uie, lourier blaar, spatsel asyn, swartpeper... kook stadig en dan het jy goeie basis vir wildspastei.

Ek het erens so resepte book wat saam met my slow cooker gekom het. Ek sal bietjie vir hom soek.

Heel skaapnek, met jou gunsteling marinade. Kook hom tot net voor hy nou van die been afval. Dan is dit kole toe met hom (alles word beter met kole). As jy aptyd het is dit 1 nek per persoon!! Dis nou nie mooi eet nie so moenie die skoonies nooi of dit vir 'n 1st date maak nie! :)

O ja en enige water blommetjie bredie gaan goed werk. Ek sou net nie die blomme ook onder druk kook nie, kook met die deksel af tot hulle net reg is.

Kry 'n skaapboud, steek hom vol gaatjies met 'n skerp mes en vryf hom dan met biltong speserye en gooi 'n klomp braaisous soos Spur se "basting sauce" oor hom. Gooi so twee koppies kookwater in die slow cooker, en dan sit jy die boud in. Laat hom vir so 3 ure op 120 grade gaar word. As jy wil kan jy die ding voor die tyd in die oond grill vir so 15 min, maar dis nie 100% nodig nie. Al die sappe, water en souse maak sommer 'n lekker aftreksel wat jy met 'n bietjie room kan meng om 'n lekker "gravy" te maak.

Vreet hom van die been af soos jy nog altyd wou.

Twee dinge oor slow cooker.

Voeg by minimum water want die vleis en groente maak hul eie water-gravy.
Groente vat lank om te kook in die slow cooker so voeg dit by in die begin.

Slow cooker werk op sy beste as jy die kos in hom sit in die oggend en as jy in die aand by die huis kom is hy doek sag.
