A question gents
Is this rifle 223 in the calibre selection or 223 saami?
The difference is the max pressures.
Any one know this for sure. I am currently loading on the saami to be safe, 55000 vs 63000 max pressure , but obviously if the 223 is valid it would he a pleasure.

Thanks

55000 psi is the generally acceptable max pressure limit set for semi auto self loading rifles. (AR's)
A strong bolt action rifle could generally be loaded to the 63 000 psi max pressure level.

If the semi-auto is chambered for 5,56x45mm Nato, the max pressure limit is suddenly 63000psi, according to QL.

100% correct.
5.56X45 Nato is not measured with the conventional Piezo transducer method as per SAAMI spec.
Additionally the chamber will determine what pressure spec is applicable i.o.w 5.56X45, 223 Rem or 223 Wylde.

Gents
Thanks for the feedback so far.
I am still not sure what the spec is for the rifle in question.
Anyone have any ideas how to find the information?

'n Hoër node is nie moontlik nie.

Hi Gents
Recieved feedback from the importers that the new 223's are built to 223 saami spec.
