I have just received feedback from my supplier.

Our shipment is stuck in Leipzig, Germany for some reason.

I'll update again once I have info.

Cheers

Not a concern just a delay.

Hi Ruaan

I have just spoken with my supplier. He is trying to get clarification from the shipping agent as what is causing the delay.

As soon as I have info I will revert.

Cheers
Kurt

Morning all

Finally some positive news. Our shipment left Germany last night en-route to SA. Next stop is SA customs and Port of Health before we receive the shipment.

Hopefully not too much longer until you receive your orders.

Thank you for your patience.

Cheers
Kurt

Hi guys

OK shipment has not landed in SA as I previously reported. It has left Germany but is now in Lagos, Nigeria.

Unfortunately we, myself and my supplier, were misinformed about the delivery period. This in turn means I misinformed you about the delivery period.

The shipper says it will be in SA by the weekend. His reason to us it's for taking so long; we chose the cheapest shipping option so we must be patient.

I profusely apologise for the delay in receiving your orders.

I am hoping they hold true to their commitment to deliver to SA this weekend.

Hi guys

I have been informed the shipment has landed in Joburg. I was going to wait for absolute confirmation before posting, I understand the anxiousness. I will post as the shipment progresses in SA

Next step customs and port of health :police:

Cheers
Kurt

PS I am hoping it sails through but sadly my confidence is not high. I had another parcel land in SA on 29 November. It's yet to be sighted

Kurt, would this be the norm in the future..no, not "ranting", just so that one can plan for this type of hick-up?

Johan, no we don't want this to be the norm. This is an embarrassment! We are wanting it to be far quicker.

I'm busy in negotiations with a local importer who receives shipments from the US on a weekly basis. Hopefully we can come to some arrangement to bring in my orders.

Will hopefully have this new arrangement sorted in the new year.

Cheers
Kurt

Guys all the bullets that are on the outstanding shipment, are already sold.

We will only be ordering again in the new year.

I'll put out a notice on Jaracal when we start taking orders again.

Cheers
Kurt

Hi guys

I got a message from an understandably concerned customer, yesterday. This is my exact reply, below.

"As I have been informed it is in Joburg. The clearing Agent is now trying to basically extort more money from us by saying the shipment is high security ie ammunition so they want more money to clear it. Yes and if you read the PS, I only received that parcel on 28 December. I understand your frustration and doubts but I've promised you that if you don't receive your order I will refund your full amount. Or if you prefer I can refund you now. I'm not trying to con anybody. This is a good business opportunity for me but it has been a terrible start and I'm worried I won't get repeat business due to the time delay. That is why we are desperately trying to find a better shipping arrangement. Cheers Kurt"

Thus, we wont be accepting any orders until we get the shipping better organised.

Cheers
Kurt
