... then how can our clever government officials not get it?
Over the weekend we were at Sun City. I saw my son reading a sign that was displayed in a public place. After a while he came to me and said that the sign was useless. I asked him why he said that.
"It says NO GUNS ALLOWED but do they really think the bad guys are going to listen to that - just because there is a sign?"
I was impressed with the young man's logic so I took the conversation a bit further. I told him that the government was busy making laws which, if they went through, would make it very difficult or even impossible for us to keep our guns. What did he think about that?
"It's the same thing dad. The bad guys will keep their guns because they don't follow rules. Then we won't have guns and they will."

Heard an interesting argument on RSG the morning. To drive a car, you need one licence but you can drive various vehicles with that one licence and own as many cars you like/afford. Sadly cars causes much more deaths than guns.
