I have been testing a couple of turkey calls for use on foxes over the past 12 months and found the "Scratch Box Call" fantastic for calling them in.
The call is easy to get a variety of sounds from, loud and small enough.
Each time I have used the call I have managed to call in a fox, though on a couple of occasions I missed the shot. I suppose I have called in about 15 or 20, mostly young ones but a few adults as well. It just seems to work.
The drawback to using the call is that it is a two handed operation and you have to keep putting chalk on the sound board.
I generally swing over to the button whistle once the fox is within range.
