First group

I have been getting closer to letting my kids hunt their first buck, We have now moved onto the springbuck target. Michael (9) shot this 3 shot group with .223 @ 100m using bi-pod, no rest at the back. We have been shooting targets and gongs for a while now, geese in the land get hell, but felt that it was time to move to the animal targets. This was 2" high and a bit right of the V30, straight up on the shoulder.

Ag neewe Wayne daai knaap is reg vir die veld. Hy gaan jou verbaas met sy vaardigheid enjou sommer baie trots maak as daai 1ste skoot op 'n bok loop.

Ek het gister 'n vriend se seun gehelp om sy 1ste bok te skiet. Hulle is gewoonlik gereed voor ons dit besef.

Sterkte daar en laat weet as julle die groot dag beplan.

Surprising how fullfilling it is when your lad shoots well! I am more exited when my laaitie shoots well than what I am if I shoot well!

Looks like he is very close to shooting his first buck!

His Sister also wanted a go, so I changed the scope settings for height and let her shoot. White dots are hers, She said the first one was bad, I think she felt the pressure of her brothers Black dots, but the other 2 are perfect.
And, Yes it is nicer when they shoot well.
