Hi guys,
I need some advice please. Last year I was advised to use Med/Long 32/35 hog casings for my braai wors. It was just a bit too thick. What is one size down (thinner)?

30/32 Hog casings works well, and is suitable for even children to eat in a hotdog roll. I find anything thicker like factory casings >32 unappetizing.
My son and I stuffed 37kg last Saturday in just under an hour using a 2kg Claassens hinge type stopper.
Sheep casing in 28 Long is next down and what I would call a medium. It is expensive and trickier to use, it ruptures easily so slow and steady is needed. BUT, if you have the time and patience the casing is much less tough than hog casings, and you can also hang your wors to dry.
Best of luck! I enjoy making wors and biltong after a hunt nearly as much as hunting itself.

Dimitri, the 28 sheep casing I find is the best.
Yes it's a bit more difficult to handle but damn the taste is worth it.
No more tough casings that the kids and mommy complain about, and at least the wors stays in the bun if oupa bites it with his new dentures.
And as mentioned by J le Roux, you can use it for a thicker droewors too.

I personally prefer 24/26 sheep casing, bought 2 bundles a month ago and made 50kg of russian, cheese, boere wors and kerriewors. I have never used hog casings before. the 24\26 is about the size of my ringfinger, about 2cm diamiter.

They didn't have 28 sheep casings when I was there. And I couldn't wait because I leave tomorrow.
I bought:
22 Sheep casings @ R127.11 per bundle
30/32 Hog casings @ R185.71 per bundle
Safari drywors seasoning 1kg @ R42.61
