Hi everyone! I post this topic in english so that my friends that i took on this hunt can share in the thread!! So if you leave a comment please leave it in english!!I recently had the pleasue to take two friends of mine hunting! They are a father and son- Roger and Steve! They are both from the USA but Steve has been wrk in our area for while now! The first time I herd that "the american" can shoot was when a friend of mine made a bet with Steve that he could not hit a ashtray at 200m... after check the rifles zero Steve continued to hit the ashtray from 200m with the first try with out a rest... my friends reply can not be posted here When I took Steve and Roger to the range on a cold rainy day with a bit of wind and the managed to shoot 4 sub moa groups between the two of them i knew that if I found the animals we would have no problem! We had two days to hunt but after day one we were done! Steve shot a impala of 19,5 inches(we were not allowed te shoot the ones over 20 inches) and two warthog- one was 90kg and the second was 97kg!!! Roger shot a 19 inch impala and a 68kg warthog! And last but not least after a long stalk Roger managed to get a 26 inch nyala! I really had a good time with the two f them! Hope they don't take to long to visit again!!!
Regards
Nico

This is Steve, one of the hunters here from the photos. I would like to mention though that my dads shots were far more difficult. The impala was running right to left, the warthog was an off hand shot standing in the back of the bakkie and the Nyala was about 100 meters I was told. My three were all really very easy shots in general but I can say that I blame all of the good shooting on the rifle.
Very fun day I can say and if you get a chance "maak a plaan" and come to Melmoth for a hunt.
Steve,
WelCome here by us on the Forum. Interact and put some of your other hunting photos and guns etc. For us. I am sure we will all be envious, you may know we battle a bit with getting licenses here in SA and hence we do not have the biggest of variety rifles and so on here so it is always nice to see what yous use over there.
