Henried,

Pls let Willem know I'll be at Splash next Saturday ... He must leave one or two for me as well.

Great catches. Saw a 33kg Cob come out at Splash last year August and I also lost a similar size one myself. In the same week the guys also got plenty Garrick and a 14kg YFT so I'm ready for this year.

Need to fish before I can hunt again. So little time and so much to do.

Klink of die vis nou mooi begin byt, klink ook of die shad redelik volop is.
So as die weer saamspeel sal ek hopelik n paar vissies vang.
Jakes sterkte by splash rock,ek is seker jy sal mooi vang daar.

Toti ? Garrick and Shad and lots of them ? the morning sessions proving the most productive. A few Garrick have also been caught in the late afternoon although live-baits aren?t always around at this time of the day.

Winkel ? This hotspot is very crowded especially over weekends. Some big Shad and Garrick are still being caught daily. The Garrick however have been spoilt and prefer a live-bait whether a Shad, Karanteen or Blacktail.

Umkomaas ? Snapper Salmon and small shoal size Kob are in the area. Smaller Shad than most other areas have been around in the mornings. The Grunter seem to have gone off the bite.

Scottburgh ? The bay area has produced an occasional Blue Skate although not many in the last week. The points have produced some Shad and although this is a great live-bait, there aren?t many Garrick around or they are suffering from lockjaw.

Trafalgar/Margate ? Basically Bronze Bream and Shad sums up the fish caught in this area. Both species are plentiful. For the Bronze Bream Prawn and Chokka combinations and the Shad prefer Sardine fillet or whole Sardines.

Transkei ? There are still a large number of Sardine in the area. Port St John?s had the competitive Anglers smiling with Bronze Whalers, although not many fish were landed. For the edible Anglers Kob, Bronze Bream and big Shad are in the area. This enables Anglers fishing from extra heavy through to ultra lite tackle and opportunity to strut their stuff.
