Gister, laat weet 'n vriend van ons in Australië as volg:
Hi Guys,
I have been shooting Benchrest for 35 years and during that time won a lot and set a number of records and in fact still currently hold several records in various disciplines. So I've been lucky
But this last weekend I set a new National record that is special. An aggregate that really made me smile as it is a sort of "Holy Grail" to get 5 really small groups in tough conditions. Even very hard to achieve in ideal conditions.
Its a 100 yard Aggregate of .1556 moa.
That is 5 targets at 100yards in HV class Bench Rest Class. .
Its the smallest benchrest aggregate ever shot in Australia (where the wind blows proper). The match was the 39th annual Harry Madden Championships here in Brisbane. I decided to change scopes on Saturday night as I really wanted to try a scope with longer eye relief. So I fitted the 10x-60x with 3/32nd dot. On Sunday morning in not very nice shooting conditions...everything just worked out. Started with an .088 and it went on from there. Mirage was so bad we could only barely see the centre ring. Outer rings were lost in the blurr.
Group sizes in MOA were .088, .188, .165, .146, .191
So there would be some who might say I have "lost my marbles" or am past it but good to know I can get it back when needed
So the equipment list reads like this. Some of those things that don't work according to few people.
6PPC, BAT DS action, Scarborough stock, Bits-n-Andy trigger, Maddco barrel (Australian), Berger Column bullets moly coated and the March 10x-60x (used on 60x) and very hot load of Benchmark 2 powder (Australian).
