Wat die Ou eintlik wil weet is loop lengte en scope vergroting. Laaste wat ek kan onthou was dit max 12x vergroting en 26" loop met n max dukte van 0.86" of so iets by kroon?
A child of five would understand this. Send someone to fetch a child of five.

Re: PMP Skiet dag 28 Maart
COMPETITION RULES FOR NATIONAL GROUPING CHAMPIONSHIPS
The competition will be shot with rifles, ammunition and equipment as set out below.
Competitors must please bear in mind that the PMP / ProAmm Grouping Competition is a PMP promotion. The aim with this promotion is to have contact with end users and thus provide information, and to get feedback from the market.
The Grouping
The grouping will be shot from a sitting position at a shooting bench over a distance of 100 meters on targets and with ammunition supplied by PMP.
The shottist is issued with four cartridges and may shoot a warmer shot. This shot may not be shot on the target. Following this, the shottist shoots a three-shot grouping on the target. The grouping may be anywhere on the target.
The grouping is determined by measuring the distance from centre to centre between the two widest shots.
Groupings of 18mm and less qualify for a certificate and participation in the National Grouping Championship to take place at PMP.
The use of alcohol during the competition is strictly prohibited.
Ammunition
Only bona fide hunting rifles in the following calibres may be used:
1. 222 Rem 55 gr
2. 223 Rem 55gr
3. 22-250 Rem 55gr
4. 243 Win 80 / 100 gr
5. 25-06 Rem 120 gr
6. 270 Win 130 / 150 gr
7. 308 Win 150 / 168 / 180.gr
8. 30-06 Spring 150 / 168 / 180 / 220 gr
9. 300 Win Magnum 180 / 220 gr
10. 300 H & H Magnum 180 gr
11. 303 British 150 / 174 gr
12. 375 H&H Magnum 300 gr
13. 6 mm Musgrave 100 gr
14. 7x57 Mauser 150 / 170 gr
15. 7x64 Brenneke 150 / 170 gr
16. 7 mm Rem Mag 150 / 170 gr
17. 9.3x62 Mauser 286 gr
Rifles and Telescopes
• A bona-fide hunting rifle is seen as a production rifle with a magazine or single shot action, e.g. Ruger no 1 and RSA action readily available through dealers and used mainly for hunting purposes.
• “Bench rest” rifles and rifles of which the barrels are replaced by excessively heavy barrels shall not qualify for participation.
• Rifle barrels must have a standard production type profile, and must measure no more than 22mm at the barrel crown. There must be no attachments to the barrel. Equipment such as muzzle breaks and silencers are therefore not permitted.
• Barrel length may not exceed 661mm (26 inches). The length of a barrel is measured by locking the breech-bolt and sliding a cleaning rod into the barrel. The rod is pushed against the bolt face and the rod is marked directly at the barrel mouth. The rod is then measured from its point to the mark. This reading is the barrel length.
• Telescopes with maximum 12 power magnification may be used. Telescopes of greater magnification must be adjusted to 12 powers and sealed for the duration of the competition.
• Only shooting tables and sandbags as provided on the day may be used. No other equipment, e.g. bipods, may be used.
Ammunition
No other ammunition or other calibres other than PMP / ProAmm as supplied by PMP may be used.
Relay Groups
Shottists must be organized in relays as they arrive at the shooting range. These relay combinations must be adhered to for the duration of the competition. No more than fifteen shottists may form a relay. Shottists may shoot in more than one calibre category.
Shottists shall take up position at the shooting point. Range officials shall issue marked ammunition to the shottists at the shooting point and after the shoot, collect the marked cases.
Team Competitions
Apart from individual competition, shottists may participate in the following team divisions:
• Association or regional teams: four per team
• Senior and junior team: two per team, only father-son, father-daughter, mother-daughter and mother-son. A person of 16 years or older, is a senior shottist.
The team member’s grouping for the individual competition serves also as grouping for the team competition. The best grouping of each team member is taken into account for the team point. These scores are added together and divided by the number of team members. The team with the smallest average grouping shall be the winners.
Organizers
The body arranging the competition must properly promote and advertise it, and must provide a range officer, range officials and officials to issue the ammunition.
Costs
PMP supplies ammunition for the competition and for prizes for winners, the targets and promotion material.
Range Committee
A Range Committee shall be announced prior to commencement of the competition. Decisions by this committee are final. The committee shall, inter alia, decide on permissibility of rifles, the sealing of a telescope and any other debatable issues.
The competition will be shot with rifles, ammunition and equipment as set out below.
