Please ask the owner which cases he will be using.
Are they designated 6x45 or 223 Rem/ 5.56x45 military issue that has been necked up to 6mm ?

Max TPL 60mm
He wants to use S321 with Cci 450 primers
26” Barrel
223 cases necked up
As soon as we get a chance to shoot I’ll verify the date and speed

If you load at 58.50mm with S321 ( if 60.0mm is your correctly measured max COL)

Start at 24.1 grains S321
Load in small increments and DO NOT exceed 3060 fps with your 26.0 inch barrel.
Your min and max loads are predicted to be +- 2.0 grains apart so load precisely and carefully.

Very realistic figures for that combination.
Node 4 at +- 51500 psi ?

PS I think you mean 85 grain Pro Hunter or hollow point boat tail - Sierra don't make an 85 grain Game King.

Now leave all your other parameters the same and change your bullet to a 75 grain V max and see what a big difference that 10 grain less in bullet weight can make with these "small" case capacity cartridges.

OK.
I see that now. Interesting it's the first time I have seen the Hollow point boat tail referred to as a Game King.
The Game King I know is a boat tail soft point (exposed lead tip).

Agreed

The definitely are harder than varmint type bullets with full penetration on Springbuck and Impala as well as smaller warthogs

Node 4 is the one.

Gives sub moa accuracy with a thin barrel bedded full length

Ideal kids gun that I also love to shoot

My guess was close.
I have also reloaded my 243 down to 6x45 ballistics with a 100 grain Pro Amm and S335/Dacron filler
2480 fps
Shot one full grown Impala Ram at about 100 meters.
Full penetration and almost zero meat damage.
With the silencer on sounds like a .22

I have some 100gr RN Hornady Interlocks I’m saving for a bushveld hunt!

Awesome caliber!

Even with the 85gr Gamekings meat damage was very acceptable on Springbuck between 60 and 250m on body shots.
Shot 10 off them with the rifle between my oldest son and me and I was very pleased.

Mine has a 1-9 twist barrel so I believe 100gr Pro Hunters or Hornady Interlock SP will stabilize as well

Gregor Woods who was the senior editor of Man/Magnum magazine many years ago was a major fan of the caliber and wrote a few articles about his experience with the cartridge. It was his go to rifle for the 'smaller" buck species.
It's an incredible kids/woman's rifle which punches well above it's weight.

I posted them a while back here on Jaracal but would have difficulty finding them now!
