Measured with magneto.

Jump is 2 thou of the lands.

Speed at 23 gr and 1mm of the lands is 2722 fps

Two thousands of an inch is 0.0508mm,that is as good as being in the lands as far as creating a pressure spike is concerned,
Where do you want to be at with this load ?
In the lands or 1mm away ?
Your answer will determine my calculation.

Sorry dale typo there 6 thou of the lands. Will you maybe do a cal for both.

At 61.8mm COL
24.5 grains
2919 fps
+- 57750 psi ( which is still above SAAMI max for 223 Remington but below 5.56 x 45mm maximum)

At 62.5mm COL
24.35 grains
2920 fps
57820 psi

Thanks Dale. I saw the same on my QL. Thats why im asking a second opinion. There are absolutely no visible signs of pressure and no heavy bolt lift.

If your cases are head spaced to 2 thou or less you wont see the pressure signs,
Bolt lift should be noticeable from late 60k or early 70k pressures.

Just remember that some of those bullets may have 6thou or more deviation in their length so you may also be in the lands with some of the bullets.

Keep an eye on those primer pockets, I suspect you may not get many reloads before the primers are loose.

I measure Ogive after determining max total length.
