243 load data

Post by bobby »

hi guys
looking for a bit of help here. helping a buddy reload for his 243 win rifle.
i see the load data in the old somchem bookie differs from the newer bookie.
using the s365 and a 90gr bullets in the old book starts with 40,5 gr and maxs with 44.9 newer book is 36.4 and maxs at 40.4 . where the one starts the other ends.
i want to load with the 90gr eldx and s365 lot 105. can the 243 guys please share their experience here.
oal i'm just going with what hornady says which is 67.8mm .
the rifle is a new sako .
many thanks

Those figures were changed when the lots of 365 were extremely hot. Lately the batches have been very slow. I would start at 37gr and go up in 1gr increments and stop at 3100fps. With charge and speed Quick Load can help in getting to an accuracy node. Is that barrel length 570mm (22,44 inches)?
