Het julle al bietjie werklik geloer wat die uitdagings is van n EV voertuig? Vat bv die BMW IX1, om n 100km ry distansie te kry by jou huis moet jy op n 11kw socket hom n uur en 32 minute laai. Op n normale muurprop van 2,3kw moet jy hom vir 7 ure en 41 minute laai. By n fast charging station van 50kw vat dit 19 minute. By n high power charging station vat dit 8 minute.
Hierdie is alles net vir n 100km! Die maksimum afstand vir die kar is 400km so ek neem aan al bogenoemde tye moet met 4 gemaal word om hom vol te kry. Ek het die grootste enkelfase inverter by my huis wat n mens kon insit nl 15kw, so ek sal die kar net op die 2,4kw muurprop kan laai. Dit beteke dit gaan n stremming van 30 ure op my sisteem sit wat gelykstaande is aan n haardroeer wat vir daai tydperk loop. Wat gaan dit nie vir n man kos wat sy krag van die munisipaiteit kry nie? Ek sal my bestaande 60kwh batterye moet verdubbel met n koste van seker hier by die R650 000 rand om die kar te kan laai deur die nag.
Ek glo nie die meeste mense het n idiee hiervan nie. Hier moet nog bitter baie water in die see in loop alvorens hierdie n praktiese en doeltreffend alternatief vir ons raak.
Lees vandag Toyota se eerlike “common sense” benadering hiertoe, Netw24. Mense gaan aan asof EV geen newe effekte het nie. Paar manne hier het dit nou al uitgelig.
Nog ‘n ent om te gaan, soos jy sê. Ons weet almal daar moet oplossings kom. Ek hou van Toyota se multi-benadering. Gebruik o.a. ook waterstof H, maar sien die reuse torpedo’s gemonteer onderkant die prototipe!
Intussen ry ek minder en stadiger(nie stadig!!) en spaar baie diesel.
